This is one of the Seasons books by Sam Usher. In “Storm”, the boy and Grandad wake up to a massive wind and storm outside. They decide to go outside to fly the kite. But where is the kite? They go on a quest to find the culprit, only to be surprised by the shared memories that lie in the treasures they find while searching. When they finally find the kite, the storm is in full motion and it is not only the kite that is flying high above.

We specifically love the book for embracing nature and weather as it is. You can have fun in (almost) any weather with the right clothes and company. Additionally, I like the bonding between the boy and Grandad.
