“Henry and Amy” - Stephen Michael King

Language of book for review:

Brazilian Portuguese - “Pedro e Tina”

English - “Henry and Amy” (Original)

A book about a friendship between two people that couldn’t be more of the opposite. Henry/Pedro is the chaotic clumsy who cannot tell right from left and who does everything a bit different than anyone else. Then there’s Amy/Tina who comes along well-educated, in smart matching clothes and an organised understanding of the world. Both complement each other perfectly, together their projects reach magnificence.

To me, this is a book about individuality and embracing each others quirks as strengths. In all their differences in seeing the world, Henry and Amy appreciate each other for who they are and for what they add to the other person. They like being with each other. They bring the best out in each other. What seems to be a small story is actually a loving homage to unconditional friendship.
