Following George's trip to the Museum of Wildlife with his grandfather, his thoughts are consumed by insects. The next day, he sets out to hunt for them, only to soon discover that he caught them all and that the garden is now devoid of bugs. Everything seems still and dull all of a sudden. The creatures he has caught in jars for his tree house collection seem quite distressed. Grandad is not happy to see the bugs caged in and tells George all about why insects are vital to nature’s life cycles everywhere.

Especially for preschools, kindergardens and early learning, this book gives an excellent introduction into the world of bugs and their role in the world. It invites to learn more about the funny creatures while also describing a loving relationship between grandad and grandson.
