The book “The Zebra Zezé” tells a lovely story about the little zebra that cannot distinguish her family or friends from other zebras. She is constantly mixing up who is who and often times end up not finding her own family. While her herd welcomes Zezé and enjoys her little quirk, her parents still try to teach her the specific stripes of each family member to help her find mum and dad easily. Nothing seems to be working until one day, a very muddy play reveals what is behind Zezé’s inability to distinguish zebra stripe pattern.

The book explains in a simple way what strabismus is and why some people need to wear glasses and even have one eye patched up for some time. Especially if you have a child (or a relative or friend) that has the same condition, this book can be helpful in explaining and relating.
