Little Bear finds a postcard on Grandad's fridge and wonders what and where the wilderness is. Grandpa Bear decides to show Little Bear the wilderness, and so they prepare for the big adventure and set off, map in hand, to find the wilderness. After the boat journey, the first unexpected events unfold: They don't immediately encounter the wilderness on arrival, but a crowded city. They continue to wander in and through the forest until, according to the map, they should come across the wilderness. However, all they find there is cleared land. As they are about to give up sadly, they are surprised by a group of wild animals that accompany them into the true wilderness. When the adventure almost comes to an end, Grandpa Bear makes a decision.
